Stiffner?

I saw a pattern that uses airplane or model glue to stiffen a bookmark ....... has anybody tried this yet? If you have how does it look and feel? :thinking2

I haven't stiffened a bookmark, but I use <a href="http://www.plaidonline.com/productDetail.asp?itemID=1550" target="_new">Stiffy by Plaid</a> to stiffen snowflakes. <span style="font-family:comic sans ms; color:purple;">I haven't tried it yet, but I hear that using glue makes a plastic like finish on the project...heard it's great for bookmarks!

I always use starch the old fashioned way and when I'm really lazy I use spray starch ( I spray it on a couple of times while my piece is drying) I was just curious if anybody's used the airplane glue
