Lime or Lemon Scrubbie Dishcloth

Materials: 4" scrubbie, 1oz worsted weight cotton yarn in green or yellow.

Hook Size: G

 

Note: Scrubbie can be omitted for dishcloth.

 

Ch 4.

Rnd 1: 12 dc in 4th ch from hook. Skipping ch 3, join with sl st in first dc. (12dc)

Rnd 2: Ch 3. 2dc in each st around. Join with sl st in 1st dc. (24dc)

Rnd 3: Ch 3. (dc in next st, 2dc in next st) x12. Join with sl st in 1st dc. (36dc)

Rnd 4: Ch 3. (dc in next 2 sts, 2dc in next st) x12. Join with sl st in 1st dc. (48dc)

**Weave in beginning end before Rnd 5 if not worked in during Rnd 1**

Rnd 5: Ch 3. Center circle over back of scrubbie with right side of work facing up. Working evenly along the the outer edge of the scrubbie, placing stitches through both the scrubbie and your work, join scrubbie to row 4 as follows: (dc in next 3 sts, 2dc in next st) x12. Join with sl st in 1st dc. (60dc)

Rnd 6: Ch 3. (dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in next stitch) x5. Dc in next 3 sts. tr in next st, 2trbl in next st, tr in next 3 sts. dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, (dc in next 4 sts, 2dc in next st)x4. tr in next 4 st, 2 tr in next st. Join with sl st in 1st dc. (60dc, 12 tr)

Rnd 7: Ch 3. (dc in next 5 sts, 2dc in next st.) x5. dc in next st. tr in next 4 sts, 2tr in next st. (dc in next 5 sts, 2dc in next st) x5. dc in next st. tr in next 4 sts, 2tr in next st. Join with sl st in 1st dc. (72dc, 12tr)

Round 8: Ch 1. Sc in first st and next 5 sts, 2sc in next st. (sc in next 6 sts, 2sc in next st) x4. sc in next 2 st. dc in next st. tr in next 3 st. 1tr, 1dc in next st. (6sc, 2sc in next stitch) x5. sc in next 2 st. dc in next st. tr in next 3 sts. 1tr, 1dc in next st. Join with sl st in first sc and end off. Weave in end. (96sts)
