Question
Guest Jen X
I am working on my first "real" project (a scarf) in double crochet. But the actual stitches are somewhat wider than the foundation chain, like the chain is too tight and pulling it in. I've tried stretching it but that didn't help much. Am I making my foundation chain too tight? Should I use a larger hook for the chain than for the actual stitches? I was able to stitch into it without any problem, but I've certainly had problems with my chain being too tight before.
And would it be cheating to try to hide it with fringe?
Jen
