Simple Headband

My dd has been begging me to make her something and she really needed something to keep the hair out of her face so I decided to make her a headband. It worked up really easy and is a great way to use scrap yarn.

 

 

 

Measure the head where the headband will fit. If using a yarn that "gives" make headband 5" shorter otherwise make it the full length.

 

With an H hook chain 9.

 

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each across, ch 1, turn (8 sc)

Row 2: sc across, ch 2, turn (8 sc)

Row 3: dc across, ch 1, turn (8 dc)

Row 4: sc across, ch1, turn

Row 5: sc across, ch2, turn

Row 6: dc across, ch1, turn

 

Repeat rows 4 - 6 until you reach desired length. Last row should be dc across, fasten off and sew together.
