Mamachelle, I was wondering on your child's poncho, would it be possible to make it fit an Adult/ Like using a bigger hook or something.

Hi! Which poncho are you refering to? Its usually easier to add a number of chains to the starting chain to fit an adult head size instead of going up a hook size or two.

It is the Lacy Shell Poncho. The one where you measure the child's head and add 2 1/2". Would it be the same if you measured the adult's head?

Oh yes, the pattern is not just for children, but is for any size by just measuring the head. Also, unless you like your ponchos hanging near or off your shoulder, I would add only 1 1/2" to the head size. I've made those changes on my pattern.

Some yarns stretch and keep on stretching (at the neck area), while others stay put. Anyhow, when I made my pink chenille poncho, I only added about an inch to my head size because I like my neckline close and not so far out. Also remember to stretch your chain down.
