Felting Tunisian???

Hi! I was just wondering what stitch most of you use to felt. Regular single crochets? Has anyone tried to felt Tunisian fabric? I’m thinking of making a bag with some leftover yarn that I once felted from a regular knitted piece, so I know it will felt, but does the stitch change the texture? I want to do it quickly and Tunisian is in my opinion the fastest way to make large solid blocks....Any thoughts?

I've found hdc work great when fulling/felting
