I have the book...now if I can just find the right materials...does anyone know where to find the yarn he talks about in the book?

That book is from the 70's! I don't know if his sources are even available anymore or if the olefin fibers can be bought on cones. CrochetDad said he used Caron yarn Pounder in Lace color and then Red Heart SS in the trimming colors.
