Without a second thought, I'd buy a new hook. I have lots of duplicates of hooks as well as knitting needles to scissors for just in case I lose them. LOL

I have two containers sitting beside my computer stuffies and one of them has 14 hooks in it.. two of which are green 6.5mm. The container (a Dot's Doohickey http://bythehook.blogdrive.com/archive/174.html Adaptation) also has 3 sets of 6in needles and scissors and several tapestry needles/needles.

 

The other larger container has 23 hooks (from 3.5mm to 11.5mm) and several more sets of longer needles. not to mention various other things that are absolutely necessary to my crochet comfort.

 

I cannot imagine life with one crochet hook

Hey Warrior Maiden, I hope you located your hook or have gotten a happy new one, we wouldn't want to lose out on your snowflake prowess on the snowflake monday CAL

 

I hope it wasn't my snowflake that resulted in the hook loss, I might have to rename it the Irish Rose Snowflake of Doom
