I picked up a Leisure Arts publication at Wal Mart yesterday... it is #3916, called 63 Pattern Stitches. I LOVE it! It even gives you a pattern for making a blanket with one each of the squares made from the pattern stitches, in 3 main colors. The instructions are very clear, and easy to follow. I had so much fun last night trying out a few of them... Some are really simple, but most are just variations of stitch patterns I had already been doing and didn't know the name of, but they result in some pretty awesome squares. Gives me some ideas on putting together a crocheted blanket made from scrap yarn.

There are actually three books, 63, 63 More, and 63 Cables...I'm mixing all three into an afghan...one of these days, lol.
