Making crochenit/cro-hook afghans with 14" hook

I'm so excited--Mary Middleton now has a video on how to make crochenit/double-ended crocheted large afghans etc. with the standard 14" hook. I've wanted to do one, but did not want to fool with panels and joining. Now I don't have to Just wanted to pass this along to anyone who might be interested.

Very interesting, can you do anyother kind of stitch? I like the technique, but not much on the look of the finished product.

I suppose you could do any kind of double-ended crochet that way as long as you count stitches if you're doing a pattern. You can get the book 101 Double-Ended Crochet Stitches or some of the Crochenit books for ideas.
