Beaded Boutique Ring

I was just wondering if anyone has made one of these rings. They were really popular in the 70's. The ring was crocheted using elastic silver thread and pearl beads. There was a pile of beads crocheted together for the top. I found a pattern on that "Groovy crochet" website, but I just can't seem to figure it out. Has anyone made one and if so, do you have any hints or better way of explaining how to do it?? Maybe it just takes lots and lots of practice like alot of other patterns do.....thanks for any help!!!

I made several of them in the early 70's, but can't remember anything about how I made them. I'd almost forgotten about them. Sorry I can't help.

I know I just need to work on this some more, but when I tried it before, I just couldn't get the hang of it. I thought if someone else knew more about what they were doing, (if they wanted to make one that is),then explain it to me better, maybe I could catch on???

 

Surely if you made alot in the 70's, this could easily come back to you!!!

I remember making these elastic and bead rings. I used faceted beads instead of pearls. I may even have a mimeograph (remember those old mimeo machines?) pattern around somewhere.
