150 Crochet Trims

This is a book you should definitely flip through before buying it online. I was very disappointed. I needed patterns for fancy edgings and thought this book would provide them. The cover photo shows edgings and nothing else.....however, there are not very many edgings in the book....and the ones that are featured are not fancy at all.

 

There is a large section on very chunky fringes, only suitable for afghans....a large section on flowers and leaves....and a section on buttons and of all things...buttonholes. None of this is indicated on the front cover.

 

The patterns are very basic and boring....nothing fancy at all...esp. the section on flowers and leaves. I've seen the flowers in soooo many books already....just a bunch of regurgitated stuff.

 

Nothing fresh and new here. The only thing interesting were the thick chunky afghan fringes....if you have a need for them.

Thanks for the advice. I saw this book at Joann's and wasn't impressed. I even had a 40% off coupon and wasn't interested in buying it.

Thanks for the heads up! I've seen it a couple different places (never had a chance to look in it), and at one time thought about purchasing it. That doesn't sound like what I thought it was though...
