blanket for a friend

he's in the millitary. he is in Iraq right now. his name is harrison. bf and i have known him for a long time. i talked to him just sunday and he said he'd love it if i could get an afghan or blanket put together for him. i was thinking of getting 9 large bold colored squares put together.

he told me his fave colors where blue, maroon, light brown/brown and black. he said a lot of other colors that i can't remember. this is good because those colors wouldn't stand out as much in the area. it would sort of blend in.

i wanted to know if anyone wanted to help and send me a square. i'm going to make one myself then put them all together and send the blanket to him. ok you guys let me know.

i was thinking 18in squares. i'm sorry i have never done this before. also the yarn would be worsed weight. it's the warmer one and easy to work with. thank you so much i'll pm you my addy. he's going to love this.
