Wire crochet?

I am new here. I have been reading , and reading, and reading some more. I have followed links and more links. I saved some. But not the one I want to find now(of course). It was a link to directions for wire/bead crochet. It wasn't patterns so much as discussing best wire sizes and types and hook sizes, etc. Does anyone here know what I am talking about? Can someone give me a direction to look?
