someone told me how to do the basket weave stitch but everytime I try it, it looks so not like hers if anyone knows anything about this stitch could you please give me some tips or advice? it says you have to do 3 fpdcs then 3bpdcs then on the next row you switch and when I do that it looks HORRIBLE. I don't know what I am doing wrong

also you realise when they say switch it means to backpost the ones you did as front posts so they stay on the same side. it is like in knitting you knit a row then purl the next so it keeps the pattern right on one side

You need to work the pattern for several rows. It doesn't really look great in the beginning.
