How can I make this in a bigger size???

I found these two patterns and I wanted to know how can I change it from newborn to size 6-9 mos and 12 mos. sizes? Here is the links to both dresses:

how can I go about making these tow dress bigger? Thanks for the help I really appreciate it alot.

The patterns are so cute.

 

I know my input might be a bit general but could you:

 

• e-mail the author to see if she has a larger size to offer?
  
• use a chart like this one as your guide for sizing can you increase the number of dc's in neckline accordingly? If you also know the desired length, can you work the pattern a little longer?
  
• the patterns appear to be made with a sport weight yarn, could you upsize to a worsted weight yarn and a larger hook working the pattern as written? You can use the sizing for 6-9 and 12 month olds as your guide and experiment with hook and yarn sizes until you get it right.
  
• hope that someone else on the board has upsized the pattern already

Not sure if that helps. You probably knew this stuff already but that's what I'd do. The patterns are so cute.
