For those of you that are interested I will be doing the cat afghan in the 1st post, 1st link; in the black and pink colors as mentioned. I'll post when it is all done.

The other option - if you do run out of time - is to purchase some polar fleece printed with cats (theres a gorgeous one I saw the other day with siamese and tabbies playing) and run several bands of edging onto it. Maybe clusters and picots to look like paw prints?

 

I know its not perfect but its a quick way to satisfy the cat theme if you do find yourself deadly short on time.

I like that idea too, if you need something else or want to add to a gift. I have a fleece blanket my brother gave me of paw prints, they look more like cats, but I pretend they're dogs... He knows I like dogs as I trained my then 90lb white German shephard (now 120 and such a puppy:manyheart ).

I also like cats so that's why I'm interested in this post. I really like the Kittens in a Row pattern but haven't tried it.
