Help finding handles please!

Hi everyone, Fairly new here but have been lurking long enough to find enough to keep me busy for a long time!

 

After reading all the post about the handbags I want to try making this one from Lion Brand http://www.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/patternFinder.fcgi?craft=Crochet&search=Search&searchText=50942&search=Search the problem is I can't find the handles for it. Have looked locally and no luck at all. Could some of you please direct me to an on-line site for handles? I have looked at the store on e-bay but they don't have any of this type of handle.

Lots of handles at that site but none as large as the pattern calls for. Did bookmark it for next time!

I don't know of any online stores that carry 12" handles, that's pretty big... but may I suggest going to your local Salvation Army or GoodWill thrift stores to check, sometimes those places have purses with perfect handles. you could just rip it off and put it on your own. Maybe you'll find something better than the one featured on the LB purse?!

Thanks indililu, That's a great idea. I shop at thrift shops all the time but hadn't thought of buying purses there. Will have to give it a try next time I'm in town.

joannes has the 12 in u shaped handles. try and see if they have them online, they might. i wish you lots of look:hug:hug:hug
