Problem with reading of a pattern

LadyNole08

Question

Hey ladies,

I am taking on the steering wheel cover pattern and so far, I have it in the ring BUT I am planning on putting a twist on it. The ripple effect. Now, I have gotten this pattern: http://joann.lionbrand.com/patterns/cja-cray.htm but I am having a hard time making this work with the pattern for the steering wheel cover. Any suggestions or a simpler and easier pattern to read? Thanks!

Cynthia

You don't get a whole lotta room in a steering wheel cover to do a ripple like the one you showed. The ripple/ridge effect would be good for the cover but I would find a pattern with less height.

This is worked over 11 stitches,... you could just go with a 5 stitch repeat so that you wouldn't get so much difference between peaks and valleys but you would still get the traction you want.
