hints for using plastic teddy bear joints

cherrypicker

Question

I've been making crocheted teddy bears to my own pattern, and hubs brought me some plastic teddy joints, the sort with a disc and peg.....I found them quite tricky to use, having crocheted half of the body to then have to place them in and stuff and then continue with the body, before stuffing....is it me or is there a easy way of doing this that I have not used? :think:blush:blush:blush or is it a case of practice with these things? :blush

I use those plastic joints for kid-friendly fabric bears I make. They're frankly a pain in the butt. Perhaps you could use a slightly smaller set so they're easier to handle? Otherwise, yup ... practice practice practice.

It doesn't get easier but I don't curse as much as I expect them to be troublesome.
