anyone done the SnBHH baby blanket in cotton?

I just saw some pretty new shades of sugar and cream in our local Michaels--a mid-pink and a chocolate brown. I was thinking about picking some up for this baby blanket--has anyone done one of these (or something similar) in sugar and cream?

I use it all the time for dish/wash/face cloths, but am not sure how it will look in a larger project....in theory it sounds good, but I am guessing I need at least 6 balls of each color, and don't want to invest so much if it will end up looking like a rag the first time it is washed...any thoughts?

I have made several afghans out of that yarn, I love it to work with and my ghans are holding up nicely.....only problem I had was the red kind of ran into the white on one afghan but not on another one???? not sure why so if you are using a dark color I would test it for bleeding before I used it....

I made a blue and yellow RR with it and was very pleased. It took 10 of the small balls.

Well, I hope it does well for larger projects - because I am in the process of making a full-sized afghan out of exactly that yarn!

 

I'll let you know if I run into major problems...
