stitch marker beads?

hi all! my mom is a beader. she has a TON (literally:eek ) of beads and she was going to make stitch markers..... but how? is the preference for plastic, glass, pearls? does anyone know where i could find a pattern? thanks so much! betty

I've made some up for myself and a few others. I, personally, prefer glass/ semi-precious stones. To me, they just look classier and not as tacky as some plastic beads can look.

The way I made mine was to use a clasp earring and string some beads onto a head pin and wrap it onto the earring. It closes nice and securly, but is easy to operate. Hooks work well, or lobster clasps. (heck, if I made two of a kind, they could double as earrings )
