How to make a graph-ghan pattern?

I love the graph-ghans I see here, but have no idea how to even begin making one. Is there is SIMPLE, easy-to-understand pattern somewhere?---to buy, or on the web.

there is a small heart square that you can practice with at www.citiusa.com its worked in single crochet it should have directions on how to do it there

I have some graph patterns at my site and in my albums that can be used. I also have a tutorial at my site that tells/shows how I make graphs using PC Stitch if you want to take a look at it.

Find a picture of what you would like to graph/chart...put it into your "My Pictures" file...then...go to...

MissMaggie--Your first link didn't work, but the second one really helped me. It answered so many of the questions that I had about making the graph-ghan.

 

Crochetluvknot-I did go to the site you suggested and read that too.

 

Maybe I will be making my very first graph-ghan in the very near future!
