How do a make this for an adult?

There is another thread with this lacy child's top.

 

Does anyone know how I can make this fit me? An adult who is 5'3 (well 2.5 but I call it 3) Or is there a program out there that will make it big for me?

The summer issue of Interweave Crochet has a similar-looking pattern, called Empress Baby Doll top. You can see a picture at http://www.interweavecrochet.com/2007/spring/materials_list.asp#empress The pattern is not available online, you would have to buy the magazine.

 

Don't know if that is helpful to you but at least it is a thought.

work up a gauge swatch of the pattern, start by measuring shoulder to shoulder and shoulder to hip. that should give you an idea of size.

I made the similar Lion pattern (I think it is identical, except that it uses microspun and calls for a size K hook). See this thread. I started out the pattern using the size K hook and it was soooooooo big, I believe it would have fit me with no other alterations! I ended up using a size H hook in order to get the correct gauge to make a childs size 2. I think the person who wrote this pattern must crochet very, very tightly..... You might try swatching it using the hook called for in the pattern and see how it measures up!
