Egg shapes

Hello! I have a question I hope anyone can help with. I have a pattern that calls for the eggs that pantyhose use to come in, I hope someone remembers them, anyhow, since they don't sell them anymore, can you think of something close to that size that I could use? I think regular easter eggs would be to small.

You can buy styrofoam eggs in various sizes.

Yup styrofoam. I think I've even seen wood ones.

If you can find any Easter stuff (thrift stores or yard sales or ask in Freecycle, etc) you might find a larger egg. Toy cars come in them every year as well as other things.

if your unsure of the size, i checked on e bay and there was 1 of the eggs. maybe you could get an idea from that picture.,

Around here...we have a craft store chain called Pat Catans...they carry a large supply of styrofoam shapes year-round. Maybe Micheals, Hobby Lobby, A C Moore will have them.
