Tote Purse

Question

HAve you ever made it? Well it's got me stumped in the very beginning! :think

RND 1: Ch 25, hdc in 3rd ch from hk and in each ch across placing 5 hdc in the end ch.

I understand that. Did that just fine. :yes

Here is where I get tripped up...

Hdc in each of the rem lps of the beg ch. Then place 3 hdc in the end ch (this makes 5 in the ch on this end).

What does that mean? I'm extremely confused! :help:huh:(

It means that you will work along the other side of the chain. Just go around the corner and keep going when you finish you 5 hdc in that final ch

There are unworked loops because you crocheted into the chain so at least one strand of the chains is still sitting there. When you get to the other (beginning end) you will put more stitches into the *3rd chain from hook*. The ch 2, and 1 hdc plus the three more hdc = the 5 hdc in that chain before the turn.

It is a way to start to work in the round for many bags and such things. it is a good skill to acquire in your crochet repertoire.
