laundering question????

Recommended Posts

hi everyone! i hope you all had a good weekend. i have a question for you all.

i made this doll for my daughter and i am working on another one now. and some of the yarn that i am using was sitting in my stash and i would like to wash it before i give it away. what would be the best way to wash it? i don't want to ruin the hair! i love the hair and it took sooooooooo long to do! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

have a good night!

i would say wash it by hand in the sink or something since the hair is so delicate you may want to use a mild soap or woolite on it and just rinse it real good i dont think i would put it in the washer she may become frizz head or bald girl

I remember someone here saying that she washes skeins of yarn before she even uses them.

She stuffs them into a pantyhose leg, ties a knot right above it in the leg and then it can be thrown in the wash without getting all tangly.

I would imagine the same method would work for your adorable doll.
