I haven't participated in one here, but they seem to have alot of fun projects.

To further explain a Crochet Along, basically someone says I'm making "this pattern" or "this kind of thing" join me and we can make them together. Then we all break out hooks and yarn (or thread) and have fun. You don't have to join them all, or any. In most cases, if you deviate from the pattern it's perfectly OK (and on a couple encouraged!) and if you get stuck, there's someone to ask. And don't forget lots of pictures to keep you inspired. They're a lot of fun and a great source for ideas of what to do next. (My list is huge, but I can never seem to figure out what next....)
