Crocheting on your scrapbook pages

Has anyone tried this??

 

I haven't touched my scrapbooking in months, but my mom tore out a page from one of her scrapbooking magazines she thought I might be interested in....they crocheted a strip across the bottom of the page!! It's brilliant!! I bet your could do it as a border around your pictures or something else!!

 

Basically they just punched holes along the bottom and used that to create a foundation chain, then they did some sort of decorative shell stitch or something.

 

I'm going to try it out but I wanted to see if anyone else had done this??

Sounds like it would work. Just do some edging there are tons of patterns out there. It would look great.

There's a whole pattern book at JoAnn's for just this! Can't remember the company but its with the other crochet pattern books.

I haven't done it yet, but I've definitely thought about it. I don't do a lot of scrapbooking, but I make cards & such. I think crochet would be a great addition to the paper crafts.

I have seen in magazines where people are starting to crochet for their scrapbooks, looks really pretty!
