Where can I learn more about yarn:? I know I may come across as a complete idiot, but...

 

:thinking2 What is the difference between a hank and a skein?

 

:thinking2 What do all these terms mean...sport/fingering/worsted/mercerized/etc?

 

:thinking2 What do some folks have against acrylics?

You are very welcome. We were all there at some point. I still don't quite get it all!!!

 

As far as people not liking acrylics, it's just personal preference, self-proclaimed "yarn snobs"

 

I personally, PREFER acrylic!! It's easier to work with and easier to find
