help with tuning crochet at the end of row

Recommended Posts

depending on what stitch you're using will determine how many chains you need to make. If you're doing a dc, when you finish the row that you're on - ch 3. Then turn your work. The ch3 counts as the 1st dc on the next row. Hope this makes sense.

I imagine that there is a big clock face on top of my crocheting. I crochet from 3 o'clock across the middle to 9 o'clock. I chain 1 if I'm doing single crochet (2 for hdc, 3 for dc). Then I hold onto my hook and the chain I just made and I go clockwise around with it .....10 o'clock, 11, 12, 1 o'clock, 2, and then 3 o'clock. Back in my starting point and ready to start my next row.

Actually if you want to you can go anti-clockwise (gasp!), but you must do it the SAME WAY each time. I don't know why but it seems to do the trick.

Best of luck!
