need your opinion concerning a website/patterns

Would you all consider the patterns in the second section (Mystery Patterns 2003) of this page coasters or doilies?

Thanks. I think they are coaster size but the one actually says doily, so I don't know for sure. Isn't the one with the apples so intricate? I love it. If I can get over my dread of weaving in ends, I think I'll make it. I have the right colors of thread.

Hi Rachel--

I think the only coasters are the one she calls "coasters"--if you read the patterns, those are the only two that she works on two sides to make them thicker. I think the rest are intended to be doilies.

I've made about 4 of the 2003 mystery patterns. I use a size 1 steel hook (larger than usual for thread, but that's all I can handle, lol!), and they turn out to be at least 6" across--definitely doilies.

 

I love them all, and am gonna start on the August one soon.
