How in thw world could you handle this noice of crocheting with the VCR tape.

OHHH my my ears are hurting here.

Any tips or advice for working with this stuff. uggg the SQWelch!

Just goes to show you, one can crochet with anything!

OH, sorry you are bothered by the sound. You might try rolling the two strands into a ball of "yarn" and then working with it. I has working on a round purse and had to tear out a bunch of work and I noticed that the tape once it was used to crochet with, it then didn't make much noise.

 

You might try working with cassette tape as yarn. It doesn't make the noise like the VHS tape does. Good luck!

It did sound like a neat idea for recycling. If I can just get my dad to part with some of his tapes that the old vcr "chewed" up a bit, then I might try it. Can't be any worse than plastic bag strips.
