i've seen the "name" before. and today i saw it from a newbie from the boston area.

 

what is LYS? where is LYS? and why can't i figure it out?!

I assume it means Local Yarn Store:D

yes LYs is a local yarn store. Don't be disappointed unless you don't have one......lol. They are wonderful. They have all sorts of yarns that you won't see in a chain store like hobby lobby, walmart, joanns or michaels.

 

When I go I always spend way too much money but on the other side I go when I am making a special something and want very nice yarns or threads fo rmy project.

 

Most of them are for knitter but you know the yarns work both ways and when we crocheters go we will spend twice what a knitter spends caue our projects will take twice a much yarn.

 

And they usually have tons of wonderufl wools.

oh i have quite a few LYS around, certainly can't afford the yarn they carry! but if i was to do something very special, then yes, i would go to one of them.

i really thought it was a NEW store in the area....
