Belt Clasps for crochet work....Best place to look?

Recommended Posts

Not sure where is the best place to post this....

I made some fingerless gloves from the Crochet Today Magazine. They call for a 3/4" belt clasp to fasten them at your wrist. I am wondering where would be the best place to start my search?? I have already searched Joann.com and there was nothing there that fit the bill. The one they have pictured in the pattern is a nice decorative clasp. I dont need to have the EXACT one, but something similar would be nice.

Thanks in advance.

I get a little catalog called Home-Sew Inc. ( http://www.homesew.com ) that has lots of notions, stuff for making dolls cloths, a a little bit of crochet and knitting in it (and I mean a little bit LOL). Lots of cute buttons :-) There are some small belt buckles that might work, and even some nice looking metal clapses that work kind of like a hook and eye closure.

Try also Clotilde, Nancy's Notions, and (I think) Martha's Sewingroom. Don't have any of these catalogs handy at the moment.Got the home sew one yesterday, as it happens ...

here is another one that has some craft supplies. Not sure if they have the size buckle you are looking for.

I too have been trying to find some notions to finish up some purses and other crafts. I need 1 1/2" buckles and some conchos that don't look cheap.
