Another question LOL

Okay, I'm moving along here and everything is working nicely with all your advice. Now it's time to do the single crochet stich but when I do it (and I know how to work it) it ends up looking like a loose knot after a couple of chains.......what's happening?

Either your hook is too large or you're crocheting loosely... Might have something to do with how you're holding your yarn. You need to keep a certain tension on the yarn so it will 'snug up' on the stitches, but you dont want them so tight that you're wrestling to get them through...

 

Perhaps someone else can link you to a pictorial on how to control the yarn tension.
