Help needed

Hi, I am a beginner to crochet and wanted to make a granny sqaure rug, you know the ones where you just keep going round and round until you reach a required size, anyways i was wondering how do I start off? Is there a site online that could show me? Please keep in mind I have no idea what to do, as I have crochet nothing ever!!
