Girls Dresses.. size 8-10

LadyyOftheOak

Question

Anyone know where I can find an Easter type pattern, something in a light weight yarn possibly .. for an Easter dress in this size? I thought about trying to adapt one I have here, but I want to be alot safer on the sizing for this as it would be a cusom order... :shrug

I'm sorry - I have NO idea! My son wears boys size 12-14 and it's about the same as a ladies' size small. (I often steal his shirts!) So, I think an child's 8-10 might be similar in size to a ladies' extra small, so perhaps you could take an adult dress in size small done in worsted, and do it in sport or baby weight on a smaller hook?

I'm sorry - that's surely not the answer you wanted! I do hope someone else might know!

I'm not sure if this dress qualifies as Easter:shrug , but it looks like a very nice Spring dress! :thumbsup It's in a book I found at my local library..."Vanna's Favorite Crochet Gifts" on pags 134, 135, and 136. It is sized for chest 22, 24, and 26 inches, and uses sport weight yarn. You could probably increase it a step further if needed. I've also seen this book at JoAnn's. It is so hard to find dresses for older girls!
