for knitting or for crocheting or maybe both

I just bought some crochet thread today and it just dawned on me that it's called "knit- cro- sheen" well...I dont' think I've ever seen anything made from thread that was knitted. Is there anything made from this that you knit. I know alot is used for crochet and tatting which has some crochet in it. But have never seen any knitting. Silly thing, just made me wonder, lol.

In one of theCrochet magazines, there was a beautiful coat in red. Totally made out of thread. It was really beautiful. There was also some patterns in a couple knitting magazines made out of thread.

I gather like yarn, you can also knit with anything.
