Wedding Blanket/Afghan

I am looking for a pattern that would be suitable to give to a young couple for their wedding present....any ideas?

I can't think of one off hand but the ones that I have made are usually in white, for new beginnings. I also do them in white to try to avoid matching "Their" colors. Just a thought!

I just returned a library book today with a Double Wedding Ring pattern-- the pattern you often see on quilts. I did a quick search to see if I could find something like it:

 

Scroll down and look for "Double Wedding Ring". No picture though.

 

Further searching and I know that the book was Vanna's Favorite Gift Afghans (Crochet Treasury.). Still can't find a picture.
