Evey time I see a new doily, it's even more beautiful than the last.

 

I keep wanting to start one, then I see another one and want to make "IT".

 

I am just exhausted just trying to decide which one to make.

 

Anyone want to share on which doily is the most satisfying doily they ever created?

I think my favorite thus far was the popcorn and pineapple doily I made this year. Most of the doily patterns are round, or oval, this one isn't, which makes it unusual. It will probably change though as I just bought my thread for a painted doily, just can't start it yet.

Thanks Wanda, the only doily I have made so far is this doily that looks like a peacock, my first and I just love it. I want to try to remake it with that painted thread look. I can't wait till I get the painted doily book too.

the most rewarding for me is the between meal centerpiece doily. if can be found at www.freepatterns.com i have made a few of them. i am always so thriled with how they come out. it is my to do for weddings. now i have the thread to make myself one...just need to find the time..lol

I have been satisfied with all my doilies. So if you haven't made a doily yet then I say just pick one you have liked and start with it.

 

My absolute favorites is anything by Patricia Kristoffersen. If you don't have any of her books then one I would suggest getting first is The Best of Patricia Kristoffersen.
