What is Cro-tat?

I received my new Annies Attic catalog and they have a Learn to Cro-Tat set in there with a realy pretty doily I would guess it is.

 

Is cro-tat crocheting and tating together? Is it hard? Looks like it is just crocheting with thread, but I see they have special hooks to use.

 

Any help would be appreciated and Happy Crocheting!

Yes Cro-Tat is a combo of crocheting and tating. Infact, the designer Ferosah is a member here. She said she has improved the directions for cro-tat and has made it easier to understand.

 

I have made her painted doilies and mini painted doilies and found that her directions are very easy to understand. She also said that if we had a problem, we could contact her and she would gladly help.

 

One of these days I am going to try Cro-Tat myself.
