OK, I WAS CROCHETING BABY BOOTIES FOR MY NEICE BEFORE SHE WAS BORN. THE PROBLEM IS ,IS THT THE FIRST ONE CAME OUT RIGHT BUT THE 2ND ONE CAME OUT ALOT SMALLER . I HAD THE SAME HOOK AND TENSION BUT AFTER 3 TRIES, JUST DECIDED NOT TO DO IT EVER AGAIN. I HAVE FRIENDS WHO ASK ME TO MAKE SLIPPERS AND BABY BOOTIES BUT I CAN'T GET PASSED THE "ONE BIGGER THAT THE OTHER" INCIDENT. , AND :irkED WHAT SHOULD I DO . PLZ HELP.

I used to have that problem too. What I did was make 3 booties and chose the two closest in size.

 

Also, this is my favorite bootie pattern. Sometime the pattern makes a difference too.

Another thing someone told me was to make sure that you are making them at the same time. If you wait even a day, you tension could be different or you are holding your hook slightly different or something. Hope that helps.
