Crocheting quilt

Hello-

 

I saw a picture of a afghan that had crocheted grannysquares on the backside. Any one know how this is done so when stitching the squares on, you cant see them on the otherside? It looked like a really pretty afghan and I would like to try it, Im just not sure how to go about it......

What did you see on the other side? It could be a lined afghan, with fabric sewn on the back. Or it could be two afghans stitched together.
