I have Deb's book "Color in Spinning". It isn't one I would start with though - it's more about using color once you get the hang of spinning.

I taught myself to spin and used the book, "The Whole Craft of Spinning: From the Raw Material to the Finished Yarn" by Carol Kroll. I found it a very easy read and very understandable.

To learn about the different types of sheep and the wool they produce, I highly recommend "In Sheep's Clothing: A Handspinner's Guide to Wool" by Nola Fournier and Jane Fournier

Once you get going in spinning, you might want to get "The Alden Amos Big Book of Handspinning" I think it's a bit intimidating for the beginning spinner though
