Hard to find yarn

My wip is a bed doll dress for a friend of mine. And she wanted the dress done in pink & white. Well I had enough of the white and needed to purchase the light pink. I used Red Heart Baby by Coats and Clark. Everytime I went to Wal-mart to find the yarn the light pink was constantly sold out. I was finally able to get a few skeins of it to finish the dress, but it was so hard to find. As a matter of fact they had alot of empty spaces for yarn.

Has anyone ever run into that problem?

Definitely. I'm making this witch using Simply Soft Brites, the bright green color. I really only need a little more of it to complete the nose. Actually I'm not sure whether or not I need it, since I do have some green, but probably not enough. I'm not sure where I bought it from. I went to 2 different Michaels and they didn't have it. They had other Simply Soft Brite colors and green but not the green I needed.
