Has anyone else been hurt from crochet hooks?

Since I can't handle hooks or needles, sharp things like chainsaws are definately off limits for me!!!LOL!!

not the hook, but i did step on an embroidery needle once and it went about a half inch into my heel--strange enough, no blood ....

No, never with a hook, but I did snip a cut into the tip of my finger once when I was cutting some yarn after finishing a project. I had woven in the end and wanted to trim it close, but wanted to make sure I didn't cut the project. My finger got in the way. Boy did that hurt!
