Does anyone else have son's (or other children) that crochet?

My son has signed up for my crochet course at Super Saturdays this year!!

(don'tknow why he didn'tjust ask me to teach him at home).

My 9-yr-old son wants to learn to crochet and knit, but he gets frustrated...

I have an 8 year old daughter that wants to learn. She can kind of chain, and kind of sc. She gets frustrated that I can do it more easily than she can -- "I don't want to learn, I just want to do it!"

 

She really enjoys my knitting machine though, and asked to go through my yarn to pick some out to make herself a scarf.

 

I'm kicking around the idea of teaching my brownie troop how to crochet for part of their Stitch It Together badge. I'm thinking that we'll dye some yarn with koolaid, and make some granny squares (or more likely, I'll do it ) then join them into an afghan to donate to Project Linus or something.
