Blanket, round to square

Elmbonsai

Question

Hello everyone,

I do not have the proper terms for what I am tring to accomplish, so please bare with me.

I am wondering if there is anyone out there who can help me

with my problem.

I have a round blanket I have already made, I would like to square off the blanket so I can make it rectangular.

I have no idea how to do this.

I would like the blanket to go from round, the last color I used, to square, the new color I would like to use. I would like to have a boarder of the new color completely surrounding the round portion of the blanket.

Thank you in advance to any help you may have.

-Kenneth

to make it square count your stitches then figure how many you need to do this....

single crochet, half double, double, double, double, 3 treble in one stitch, double, double, double, half double, single....

single or half double to next corner.

Does this make sense for you?

This is what you would do at the corners...

I had a star that I wanted to do the same thing for last spring. I ended up trying out two or three things, but it ended up being something like, sc, hdc, dc, tr, chain 5, tr, dc, hdc, sc, sl st, etc. The first row looked kind of funny, but once I did the next row (dc's all around), it started taking it's shape much more.

Hope that helps! :)
