Hook size for Speed Cro-Sheen?

I have a ball of speed cro-sheen and was wondering what hook size to use with it. I wanted to try a snowflake pattern in it and figured it would come out larger than the one done in size 10 thread. (I'm also thinking that this might be a good way for my fiance to get into thread crochet - he's looking for a more challenging project and wants to help with the Christmas presents I'm making )

If it is the weight I am thinking, close to a 5, perhaps try an '0' or a 'C' at the largest. Just experiment and have some fun.

oops, forgot to put that in. It's a size 3 thread.

 

I saw one pattern that said an F hook, but I don't know...
